Meet the owners of WPT
Danielle
Danielle was born and raised in New York, where she attended State University of New York at Cortland to receive her BS in Communication Disorders. She then moved to North Carolina to complete her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders at North Carolina Central University.
Danielle has worked with diverse populations and disorders, including language disorders, fluency, articulation disorders, apraxia, auditory processing disorder, sensory feeding, and Autism, within a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, daycares, skilled nursing facilities and clients’ homes. Having a strong desire to impact children within all ranges of communication abilities, Danielle’s interests within this vast field pertain to providing children and their families support to establish successful communication while fulfilling their optimum potential. Having a family member with a communication disorder of Aphasia, she understands the need and importance of collaboration from all members of a team to achieve the best possible outcome. She feels that, together as a team of the child, family, speech-language pathologist, and any other additional professionals, they can create treatment plans and strategies to generalize throughout the child’s daily life and social interactions. Danielle particularly enjoys providing therapy and researching social communication and pragmatic disorders which ties to her recent certification as a Autism Clinical Specialist. She hopes to instill strength and confidence within all of the children she serves.
Danielle became a new mom to a beautiful baby boy in March of 2024. When Danielle is not working as an SLP, she is home soaking in her baby snuggles and enjoying life as a family of 3. She also enjoys yoga, hiking and cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes.
